Prompt structures for executive-ready outreach
Ian Koniak discusses how he consistently lands meetings with CEOs, COOs, and CFOs by running automated multi-channel personalized techniques. Here’s a breakdown of how:
Various channel always
↳ Executives live across channels.
↳ If you only email, you’re invisible.
➤ Send an email → Instantly follow by calling prospects
➤ If no answer, leave voicemail → Send video on LinkedIn
➤ Use AI tools for gathering cell numbers and call directly
↳ You’re a persistent genuine person, not just another inbox spam.
Follow-up multiple times
❖ Executives are constantly buried in follow-ups.
❖ Two touches aren’t enough for memory recall.
❖ Large deals need more touches before the first meeting.
❖ If you can build value, persistence signals you’re genuine.
Customize with AI flows
Forget your lazy, generic openers.
Instead, use this 4-line structure:
✔ Line 1: A personal compliment based on research
✔ Line 2: Observation about their business priorities
✔ Line 3: Show the problems and where they’re going
✔ Line 4: Find ways to close gaps in their problems
A soft, direct CTA:
i.e.: “Worth a quick call to see if this fits your plans?”
Example:
“Noticed in your Q2 earnings call you mentioned expanding enterprise retention. Based on LinkedIn data, churn in your SMB segment is rising. We help companies cut churn by identifying at-risk accounts before renewal. Would it be useful to see how?”
Useful ChatGPT prompts:
Prompt example:
“I’m a sales rep at [Company] targeting [Name, Title]. Write a personalized, executive-ready email that speaks to their role, their publicly stated goals or quotes, and how we can help them. Be concise, use bullet points, and end with a soft CTA.”
Create messages that feel personal but are done in minutes.
Create valuable discussions using ChatGPT
Michael Halper breaks down how to use ChatGPT for creating sales scripts, showing how to move from generic AI outputs to customized, high-performing messaging:
Building layers method
Feed ChatGPT the right inputs and build talking points:
Value points → What benefits are you delivering to this buyer segment?
Pain points → What problems are distributors or manufacturers facing?
Pain questions → Smart, open-ended questions to uncover challenges.
Current state questions → “How are you currently handling [process]?”
Differentiators → How product or service is unique from alternatives
Examples → A quick customer story providing measurable outcomes
When you layer these blocks, you can build diverse scripts.
Example: Selling wheat
When prompted correctly, ChatGPT builds an effective script:
✱ Opener: “We help distributors and manufacturers optimize supply chain efficiency, ensuring timely delivery and reduced inventory costs.”
✱ Pain questions: “Do you ever face delays in getting wheat to your buyers?” “What happens when storage costs increase during surplus cycles?”
✱ Differentiator: “Unlike bulk suppliers, we’re offering predictive demand analysis that significantly lowers your overstock risk potential.”
✱ Customer story: “On average, one mid-sized mill reduced spoilage costs by 18% after gradually shifting to our supply models.”
Notice word efficiency usage compared to generic statements.
Scale workflows better:
There are multiple ways to build scripts:
Manual prompts: Feed ChatGPT one request at a time (pain points, value props, questions). This requires multiple trials and errors, but works effectively.
Automated via ChatGPT: AI tool integrate processes directly with ChatGPT. Input product + audience to generate whole sets of personalized scripts.
Better scripts generate attention, and secure your future deals.

Flipping competitor weakness to differentiators
Haris Halkic highlights GPT-5’s changes for building sales prompts. Instead of single-task requests, layer multiple inputs and outputs for sharper, executive-ready messaging:
1. Translate features to role benefits
↳ Take product specs, job postings, and press release.
↳ Convert features into KPI-tied benefits for positions.
↳ Example: “Single dashboard”
For CFO: minimize reporting cycle by 30% (faster close);
For COO: unify operational data across multiple regions
For CRO: pipeline view connected to revenue forecasts
2. Build tailored references
❖ Feed GPT-5 case studies, CRM notes, and yearly reports.
❖ Script 90-second narratives for your prospect’s context.
❖ Structure: Problem → Change driver → Outcome → ROI.
Add 2 soft questions like:
➤ “Does this reflect what you’re seeing in your organization?”
➤ “How are you currently measuring success in this area?”
3. Predict objections at each stage
Paste objection transcripts, and industry reports.
GPT-5 can anticipate 3 likely objections per stage:
First contact: “We’re happy with current vendors.”
Discovery: “Implementation will be too disruptive.”
Proposal: “Budget has been allocated elsewhere.”
Warning signals are flagged using concise rebuttals.
4. Executive ROI stories
⇒ Input baseline metrics, and cost structure.
⇒ Output direct ROI scenarios (CFO, COO, CRO).
Example for CFO: “Cutting redundant SaaS licenses saves $1.2M annually while improving EBITDA by 4%. Similar firms reinvested in GTM hiring.”
⇒ Each storyline must be fewer than 80 words.
5. Turn triggers into messaging
✔ Pull hiring pages, funding news, and event objectives.
✔ Identify various triggers and link them with strategies.
Example: A company announcing expansion into Europe
Opener: “Noticed your EU sales hiring push. Many firms hit compliance roadblocks in year one. Want to see how [client] solved it?”
6. Rewrite in the prospect’s language
✱ Feed internal comms, industry glossaries, and competitor documents.
✱ Extract 10 recurring phrases. Rewrite your pitch using their own voice.
✱ Instead of “AI-powered analytics,” output becomes:
“Continuous quality signals built directly into your existing workflow.”
7. Extract pains from reviews
➔ Copy Glassdoor posts, or Reddit threads.
➔ Identify 3 challenges with verbatim quotes.
Example: “Employees complain onboarding takes 4 weeks.”
Discovery Q: “How much is delayed onboarding costing you?”
Positioning: “Cut onboarding process to 5 days maximum.”
8. Flip competitor weaknesses
❖ Feed competitor reviews + support transcripts.
❖ Identify the most vulnerable customer position.
Example: “Support tickets usually average out 48 hours wait time”
Discovery Q: “How quickly do you get resolution when things break?”
Differentiator: “We guarantee a response time of less than 2 hours.”
9. Build role intelligence briefs
➤ Paste LinkedIn profiles, interviews, or About pages.
➤ Summarize by generating personalized openers.
Example: “Since you mentioned customer churn as a top 2024 priority, I thought you’d find this churn prediction model useful.”
10. Decision-maker mapping
↳ Input organizational charts or LinkedIn search results.
↳ GPT-5 identifies top influencers and best entry points.
Example: VP Ops vs. CFO
11. Buying signals from job ads
✱ Copy recent job postings from the last 90 days max.
✱ Extract signals like “hiring cloud security engineers”
Position your offer: “You’re scaling cloud hiring fast. Teams often struggle with [specific problem]. Want a quick look at how we solved this at [peer company]?”
